I read about making "momsicles" on KellyMom.com. Has anyone ever made them? Can anyone offer any pointers? How do your dc like them?

My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Yes! Joey loved them. I found a plastic popsicle mold at the supermarket or Target (it was summer then, so they were everywhere -- at this time of year you might have to order online). I just poured in about 2 oz. of fresh milk, no special instructions.
He really loved them starting when he was around 6 months old -- it was July, so it felt good to have a cold treat, plus he was popping out his bottom teeth. He was also able to hold it by himself and bring it to his mouth. Just keep plenty of bibs and towels handy!
You could also freeze in a shallow dish, and then break up the milk into a slush to feed your baby on a spoon. That sometimes works too, esp. if mom has to be away and baby won't take a bottle.

I made them when dd was starting to show interest in solids and "eating" but wasn't quite ready for the real thing. I froze breastmilk in ice cube trays (just a few at a time, about half full) and used a mesh teether feeder. dd loved them, and it was about the time she was teething, too, so I think the cold felt good on her teeth.

I just happened to be perusing the boards and had to check out this thread - I have never heard of "momsicles" before - but I think it's a brilliant idea! My dd is starting to teeth and sometimes (not all of the time) doesn't like to drink out of a bottle while I'm at work - this would be a fantastic alternative for my husband or MIL to use
Thanks!

Thanks!

I did a spin on this and just made breastmilk icecream (because pumping enough to fill one of those popsicle trays seemed pretty daunting). I poured an ounce or two of breastmilk into a ceramic bowl, stuck it in the freezer for half an hour, and then pulled it out and mashed it all up. DS absolutely loved it.
