Our Daughter Maeve is born!

13 days past her EDD, our daughter Maeve Sarah was born, at 2:30 am this morning. She is 8 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long. We were so surprised that she was a girl. Both DH and I were sure she was a boy...what a fun surprise and our two older dds are thrilled to have a new sister.

We are thrilled with the way Maeve's birth went. We used a birthing center, which was comfortable and perfect and our mw and birthing assistant were also just great. After much prodromal labor, my labor was very quick and very peaceful.

Maeve has taken beautifully to nursing and we're all back home and going great. I will post the birth story as soon as I have time to type it.

We are so thrilled with our new family member! I will post a pic as soon as DH can help me figure out how to do that.

Oh Emily I am so so happy for you! I kept checking today as I was sure you were having her!! Yea! I am just grinning from ear to ear for you!
