February Group B strep moms?? - Page 2

I am going to discuss it tomorrow with my OB.I just found out today that I am + this time and am trying to figure out what to do. My last labor was 2 hours and it was an induction.I really want to aviod being hooked up to a bunch of stuff but I also know the danger of a baby getting infected.I really don't think the antibiotics will help me this time around so I need to know what to do.
The wierd thing is that they had me do the sawb, I don't know if I even did it right.

I am waiting on my test result. I was positive with the first, negative with the second.
I did get treated with the first.
There is a special pill with the correct bacteria specifically fot vaginal bacteria, you have to take it for 10 days and it works in 50% of the cases.
I am not sure the name, I didn't know about it with my first, my midewife will give me a perscription for it if I am possitive this time.

Ack! My OB wasn't too keen on me not doing the antibiotics.There are two babies who are being kept for 14 days because they got sick.I still am thinking of not taking them.We have a history of allergies on both sides of my family and I really don't want to deal with yet another one in addition to yeast infections all around.She said something about before the induction ( am so hoping I'll be able to get out of that one) they would do the drugs and then start the pitocin but I responded really fast to just a touch last time so I am still leary of it even being effective.Sigh, I miss how peaceful my first pregnancy was....
