Tons of Braxton-Hicks and...

I am 36 weeks two days. As of Thurs. I was 1 cm. dialated.I've been having Braxton-Hicks for a few weeks, sporadically. The last few days, they have been very regular, at least one an hour, sometimes more. Some are a little uncomfortable, most are just that tightening. I also seem to be pooping a lot (sorry). So I'm sitting here reading on the computer, and i'm starting to feel a bit nauseous. Oh, and my vagina is feeling weird. So, I'm thinking, no, I'm not in labor, but maybe I don't have long to go?

My son was 42 1/2 weeks, I never felt B-H, I didn't start dialating until 38-39 weeks. He was a c/s after 36 hours of labor (distress and cord issues). He was 10 lbs. 8 oz. as well.

So, I'd like to have this one soon (VBAC), but not quite now. In a week would be good. Maybe I'm psyching myself up, but getting a bit nervous here.

On the upside, great incentive to get those bags packed!

What do you think?

hmmmm... I have no idea. But I couldn't read and not respond. It sounds like maybe soon. Better get those bags packed just in case.

Those were all my exact symptoms and I had her the very next day. So ready or not, I'd at least have your bags packed.

I'm not sure either, but you do have a lot of symptoms. (pooping, nauseous, weird feelings) I would definitely start getting ready. Good luck!

That's what I thought. It's just weird to me to be having all these symptoms this early when ds wasn't even thinking of joining us at this point.

Anyway, bags are 95% packed, hopefully I won't need them for just a little while.

I have been having lots of bh today and pooping alot too! Weird.. I dont think it could be close tho, I am 36w2d also.
I am counting down to the 23rd, when I can have baby at the birth center, before that, I'd have to go to the hospital..

Thanks! Still just hanging out here...it seems the BH ease at bedtime and increase in the daytime with activity. The nausea comes and goes.

I'm actually quite glad that my body is showing signs of getting ready, since I would love to have this baby BEFORE 41 weeks 4 days (wouldn't anyone?).

I'd be pleased to have the baby now except for the luck readiness issue. I'll bet (s)he already is near 7+ lbs., so low weight is no concern here. Also DH and I are both getting overtime at work tomorrow, and I'm getting a haircut at a really nice salon on Tuesday.

By Thursday, I'll be 37 weeks, and I won't be so worried.

We are getting everything ready though!

I'm 35 weeks, 1 day and I'm having 3 of the 4 symptoms you listed (no nausea). I'm having softer, more frequent stools, Braxton Hicks contractions that sometimes last a while and are sometimes painful (but other times just uncomfortable), and weird vagina feelings. Another symptom I'm experiencing that you hadn't noted (but maybe have), is really wobbly feeling hips. Sometimes if I'm sitting for awhile, or if, for example, I get up in the middle of the night to pee, I feel like I'm learning how to walk for the first time. The ball-and-socket joints feel out of place and sometimes I have to get help from my boyfriend so that I don't fall. I've heard and read that this is normal, but also that it could be a sign that labor may not be not far away.

I guess I could be getting my hopes up, though...

Anyway, keep us all posted on if your symptoms go away or if they remain the same and you get additional symptoms, etc. and of course, let us know when you have the baby and how that experience went for you!

Best of luck with your VBAC!
