I would love to dye some clothes but am aware of the enivronmental impact of such practices. I know the first rule of thumb is to not dye. Of course, if I do *need* to for a special reason, what type of dye should I use?
Secondly, I'd love to start a small local business making advocacy wear. Again, I'm concerned about the enviromental practices used by commercial printers. I've questioned the major local printer, but it seems no one there knows a thing about enivronmental issues related to their trade (I find that hard to believe because of the substantial data I found online about it). Despite my research, I haven't come to a conclusive solution -- what type of printing method is most environmentally friendly?
I will continue my search for an answer from local art stores and printers. Someone's bound to be well versed with these issues right? I would still like those here to weigh in because I know many MDCers are concerned about environmenral protection.
TIA
