Agh. I'm trying not to get discouraged or fraustrated but that is turning out to be easier said than done. I know these contractions aren't completely for nothing but still they are getting annoying.

It started on Wednesday night and through Sat I had contractions mostly at night. Fairly regular, longer than my previous BH contractions but nothing that stuck. NOw last night they started again and I tried to go about my business but I started to get really uncomfortable with them. They were again fairly regular but only lasting about 45 secs. I decided to try and get some sleep. I slept from about 11-1 when ds woke up and climb into bed with me. I couldn't go back to sleep so I got up for a while and the contractions continued. Eventually I got back into bed, after moving ds who then proceeded to throw up AGAIN (he had the stomach flu on Thursday night but had been fine until last night). I laid there relaxing through regular contractions and eventually fell back to sleep from 4-6ish.

I woke up and have been having contractions all day now. I'm just getting pissy with them as they don't' seem to be going anywhere so for the most part I haven't timed them at all. I did just time some and they are about 13-14 minutes apart and about 45-55 seconds. They are rounding my back and hurting my lower abdoman and I'm just getting sore at this point. I wish they would progress into something or just stop. I have this fear of doing this for the next 2-3 weeks. I can only imagine what I joy I will be at that point .

Anyone else dealing with this, want to pity party together. I just keep telling myself its all one step closer to babe its all one step closer to babe, its all one step closer to babe......

Pity party here too!!!! I have contractions that are annoying but not regular more then a few times a day. THEY ARE DRIVING ME INSANE!!!!!! I keep thinking that if this is gong to last for weeks that I am going to loose my mind. Unlike your though I get the most regualr ones throughout the day....especially in the morning. Don't get me wrong though....still hardly getting any sleep though since I am so darn uncomfortable and peeing 1/2 the night...lol. I just keep telling myself that my beautiful little baby will make all of this better with its first beautiful glace into my eyes and I will melt and forget how much of a pain it has been to get them here.

I hear and feel your pain. Last night was pretty good and contraction free but Friday night was really rough. I had regular contractions until about 3am that felt like my whole midsection was burning. Fun! Since I'm being induced on 1/25, I know that I have (at most) only 11 more days of dealing with this (the only "upside" to PIH, lol!).

I'm there with you. I had contractions all night last night. Around 3:30 I decided to take a shower. After that they started to slow down and at 4am i made myself some oatmeal and toast.

I was so tired by that point i decided to take my ambien and go to sleep. I slept half the morning away. When i woke up i had some contractions but nothing regular like last night. So now we wait and see.........again.

I was not so pissy because i was thinking Yay!! But if this happens everynight for more than a couple of days i imagine i will be just a big bundle of joy. How lucky my husband will be.

mickey ,, I could or wrote your post... mine have been happening since monday or tuesday. I haven't timed them. When I think about timing them they seem to space out more... weird. Or maybe it's just my patience. Anyway just thought I would join the pity party I'm getting pissy too. also woke up about every hour last night with the urge to pee.. that was fun. I would crawl back into bed and then wake up again in about an hour. I was thinking well cool this could be it. But then reality struck me that they weren't going anywhere.
Well at least at the end we will have a beautiful babe

I'm right there with you ladies. I've been having regular contractions each night for about the last week and a half. They start around dinner time and continue all night. The last 4 nights they've been 4-6 minutes apart, around a minute long, and are painful (especially in my lower back). And Micky, I'm sorry about your son . My ds has been throwing up all evening so it looks like we are in the same boat in more ways then one!

Popping in from Jan to say that I feel your pain. I have contractions all night and into the morning too. It's been going on for over 2 weeks too! Oy! At least I have a break in the afternoon to take a nap. I've gotten jaded so now I don't get excited and think I'm really in labor anymore. At my last appointment I was 3 cm dilated though, so I figure at least something is happening. Hang in there guys!

I'm sorry all of you have been having this. I don't have anything that regular, but the BH I do have can be incredibly uncomfortable. My first pregnancy was nothing like this, these are intense. I feel for you having them, esp. at night. Of all the sick jokes nature could play, making a hugely pregnant woman miss sleep when she most needs is one of the worst!! Hang in there.

I only had one bout with regular contractions on New Year's Eve. Since then I've had a heck of a lot of BH that are quite painful, but that's all - nothing regular. Sometimes they wake me up in the middle of the night too, but I can usually get back to sleep. I hope you guys get a break from this soon so you can get sleep!!

while this isnt happening to me this pregnancy last pregnancy was pure torture, i was being watched for a second preterm baby and from 32 weeks on I had constant contractions never more than 20 minnutes apart and sometimes as close as 5 minutes apart and still ended with an induction 2 days before my edd because of BP issues go figure. I definately can feel your pain. Trust me though when i say you can learn to ignore them. I wonder however if this pregnancy i have taught myself so well to ignore them that I wont even know when they start lol! GOOD LUCK!!!
