I went to JoAnns and got some really good bargains. They have 100% cotton velour (very soft & good quality) for $2.97/yd. It is normally $9.99/yd!

I also finally got to do a little bit of sewing and I made these 2 pocket diapers. They have olive PUL outer and orange microfleece inner
pockets

Has anyone else made any dipes today? I would love to see pics!

That's a very cute diaper! And way to go on the velour score! Is it on sale for that price at all Joanns, or did you find on clearance or remnants?

I bought a little over 5 yardsof Terry Velour from the same sale at Joannes too!!!! I bought the ecru and the yellow.... I terry velour... it's soooo yummy!!!

Do you use it as the inner linner of the dipes or as part of the soaker pad/doubler?

I use it to make washclothes and baby wipes so far.. but wasn't sure how to incorporate it into diaper making, b/c I heard it doesn't keep baby's bottom dry....

No fair! I went to the big Joann's here on Saturday and they only had velour that was 80% cotton. I bought 100% cotton velour at the other location so I will have to make another trip...possibly today...the kids need to get out of the house you know

Cute diapers btw!

I don't know how to take pictures but i have made 13 fitted diapers since i joined this board and have 3 more that just need sewn. I have made 3 fleece cover that ended up being to small and really bulky. Nothing i have made looks as good as the pics of everyone elses but this is my first time sewing so to have something that is functual is good enough for me.
I plan on making some prefold and wool covers in the next couple of weeks (going to school full time doesn't leave me with much free time)

Ok, here's what I did yesterday. It's my 3rd diaper attempt & my best so far. It fits my son good, except the elastic needs to go up further in both the front and the back. It's a fitted flannel, so he's wearing a cover anyways, but I want to make AIO pocket diapers, so it'll have to be fixed.

It's not perfect, but Iam pretty happy with it.

JBM, is that neon orange pul? Where did you find that?

I'm going to go to JoAnn's today as well. I've got that coupon to spend and I hope to find some good things to share with you all later. I have 4 more infant dipes to complete and another pocket dipe and then if I still have energy and elastic, I'll make some more fitteds for my boy genius.

I'm going to buy microfleece, maybe some velour and I want to look at their clearance fabrics.

I got neon orange PUL at OSDS. I'm making my nephew some training pants out of it, with flame flannel inner! Now I'd LOVE to find some olive PUL. I have one pair of FBs in olive, and I just love that color for DS. That and navy. Both of those colors go with just about everything DS wears!

I am GOING to make a fitted diaper today. I really am! I also have some friends that want me to make them some diapers, so I have 4 fitteds and one fleece cover to make (in addition to the one I'm making today for DS), and I get an excuse to run to Hancocks and get some chocolate velour if they still have it! They have 80/20 velour, and it's oh so soft and yummy!!!! One friend wants camo outers, and I only have navy velour. Chocolate should go well with camo outer. If they're out of chocolate, I've got the ok to go ahead and make them with navy, but they'd just look better with a color that actually matches.

I don't have a Joann's, unfortunately.
