37 weeks and baby movement?

It seems to me that the last 24 hours baby has really slowed down movements. Anyone else experience this...should I call my ob to check? I had a sono on Friday and all was healthy and well. Placenta showed no signs of aging and baby looked great. I am trying not to worry, but I am really tired today from feeling the need to have a very clean house and I think it is easier for me to worry when I ma tired, ykwim?

I'm 36w5d, and this little girl isn't moving as much either...or at least I can't feel her moving. When I palpate my stomach, it seems like her back is to the outside, so I think when she kicks it's toward my back, so I don't feel it as much. I feel more down low, when she moves her hands. They're running out of room! But if you're still feeling anxious, I don't think it would be a bad idea to go in and at least listen to a heartbeat to ease your mind.

I think it is normal for the baby to move a bit less as we get closer to the end...there's just not as much room in there for them to wiggle. I would suggest drinking a big glass of juice or a piece of fruit and a glass of water, then laying down on your left side for a while and you should feel some wiggles within 15 minutes. That's a great sign that everything's ok, and what my midwives have suggested I do if I freak out. :-)

Definitely call your care provider if you don't feel movements after what I suggested.

Thanks so much! It seemed that after I posted baby got really active...of course, lol! The sono showed that the baby's feet are near the head, so I feel lots of movement in one spot with the hands and feet being near each other, right into my hip is where the feet are. Now the bottom is a real pita! S/he shoves it right up into my rib cage when s/he streches out the legs. Phew! That is one hard little but!

I have noticed the same thing - baby is lllooooowww down and doesn't move nearly as much anymore. Used to have busy kicking sessions every time I'd sit down to eat or go back to bed after peeing, but now it's often all still which of course worries me (esp. in the middle of the night). But then I'll get some little kicks and squirms, and a lot of hiccups lately.
