Noniodized salt — where can I buy it in bulk?

I can't find a source for this. I'm sure I just don't know where to look in terms of businesses or what search terms to use online, so can someone clue me in? I'm tired of hoping my grocery store will have enough each time I want to vat dye large amounts of fabric.

What about salt they sell for animals? We buy big bags (I think it is 25 lb.) of plain salt for our animals, it is very cheap, and easy to find. Any place that sells animal feed would have it.

Yeah, the animal/farm supply store we used to go to carried big bags. Heck, they even offered to special order what we needed (we were mummifying a chicken).

I get mine at a local market that also sells bulk to restaurants/food service buyers. Its a 25 lb bag of Morton's table salt for 5 bucks...can't beat that!
Also, if you can't find non-iodized salt I wouldn't stress as it won't have any real affect on your dyeing.

Really, Kathy? I assumed the color of the iodine would make a difference, depending on what color you're dyeing, especially since the instructions always make a point of specifying noniodized.

The amount of iodine in iodized salt is so minimal that it wouldn't have an affect on your dyeing. I know the directions say non-iodized, but the amount of iodine won't cause you problems.
Anyways...looking at my big bag of Morton's, it doesn't seem to be iodized(no mention of it) Do you have a place near by that sells food whoesale and to the public(not a costco but a restaurant supplier)?
