How-to: VB medium-long

How do I lengthen the rise on the VB pattern (I have the AIO) to take the medium from a 15" rise to a 17" rise? I've heard some mention of this here(though a search hasn't revealed anything) and have seen this as a option on VB seller sites but I'm not sure how to do it. Do I lengthen in the crotch area or at the ends? How much?

Thanks!

Ummm, I'm not sure but I would add an inch to the front side of the rise (belly side) and an inch to the back of the rise (butt side). Make sense? An inch on each side of the crotch area I think. Don't forget to make your soaker a bit longer too.

For me the answer seems to be lengthening the stride (crotch) instead of the rise. But, Katherine's thighs seem to grow faster than her waist, so by lenthening the stride not only did we get a nice, higher rise, but also bigger thigh openings which seem to work much better for us.

So, it really depends on what exactly you need. If you don't want the thighs any bigger (and more of a 'bikini' effect), then you'd probably want to increase the length on the front side a bit and the back side a bit, like beepsmnms sugested.

I've never tried that, but it probably wouldn't hurt to do a bit of that too around here. K is super long and I probably added around an inch-and-a-half in the stride when I did up a bunch of VB pockets for her. I need to make up some more (though I'm in denial because I'm convinced she'll potty-learn soon... while in reality she's not really seeming interested at all ... I'm just tired of two in diapers... mostly because I just don't have the time to sew up a bunch of new dipes right now!)
