Pocket fitteds ?

My DD is having problems with the prefolds and wetness causing redness. So I was tihnkign maybe I should make some pocket fitteds so she'd have suede cloth, velour or fleece next to her skin. And she can wear her gorgeous wool still.
I really love pockets for how cleant hey get and how fast they dry. Does anyone here make and use pocket fitteds? What outer material do you use?

That's all i make. I like everything coming apart in the wash. Makes me feel like they're cleaner if nothing else.

I've just been doing flannel, but i've been thinking on the idea of using microfleece. (just haven't gotten around to it)

I am soooo lost!

I think I know what a fitted diaper is and I know what a pocket diaper is. How is a pocket fitted different than just a pocket diaper?

Fitteds generally need a cover while most pockets don't?? So a fitted pocket needs a cover?

A pocket diaper is just a diaper that has a pocket where you can stick the soaker inside. I think the first one was a FB, which has a PUL outer, so everyone associates pocket diapers being an AIO with either fleece or PUL. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE pockets made of cotton (fitted pockets they call them) since they are all cotton, but are easy to sew and wash. I made some fitted non-pockets and I hated them since they took so long to dry.

I now make all cotton fitted pockets using the Darling Diaper pocket fitted pattern. I then use wool covers. I use flannel, velour, interlock, cotton knit, and cotton woven in my diapers and they are all so cute and comfortable. I was using PFs, but my little guy got so wiggly plus I was sick of changing him every 30 minutes to an hour. Now I can stuff my pockets with a PF (reg. size) and he can go overnight!

I use t-shirts for my pocket fitteds - inner & outer. But then, I don't have redness problems, either. Either way, you could use the t-shirts for the outer layer, and cut your costs. I have instructions for how to make them in my free diaper pattern in my sig.

You can use any fabric that isn't waterproof. I like cheap fleece with a soaker LOL So soft on baby! Also cotton, flannel, jersey....heck, even muslin! It's just to hold the soaker in place basicly
