I know I need too ... i just feel silly concentrating on doing it!
I didnt with my 1st pregnancy & well , lets just say I cant jump on the trampoline w/ DD unless I empty my bladder first!
I dont really have any problems other than that but I need to set aside some kegel time this pregnancy!!

I am so horrible about doing my kegels. I probably only do them once in a blue moon. I just forget! :

I need to start doing them. I did them with pregnancy #1 and they helped hugely. Except....can only do them when dh is home and ds is in bed because after about fifty or so, I start feeling...er...

I just started I forgot, but they do make a difference

i do mine usually while driving. (dh likes when i do them during... )

i love Sahara's sig (Do your Kegels). It's either a reminder or just a good time to do extra whenever i see a post from her. I wish she posted more often

i fall into the category of "Who should be doing their kegels if they don't want to keep wetting themselves every time they sneeze?"

Seriously! I didn't have any trouble at all after DD2 was born, and it seems that as soon as I got the BFP I started with the pregnancy incontinence. I keep forgetting to do them - of course I remember every time I sneeze, but that's not all that often.

I better continue to do them, otherwise I am going to have even more issues. As it is I fear sneezing or coughing

everytime this thread gets bumped, we'll all do a set...

*bump*

I was doing them daily at the beginning of my pregnancy but I found that a little while after, I would get severe spasms in my vagina. So I told my midwife and her brilliant answer was: Stop doing them! So I did. I think I may try it again but go a little easier. I think I went overboard!

Good reminder thread...

This one, plus the incontinence thread. GAH!

Yes, that.

Now what exactly constitutes a "set"?
I've read lots of ways to do them. Some just repeat for a certain number of times. Some have you hold for longer and longer. What's the consensus here?

mine are completely automatic. especially after i had my son. OMG I had to concentrate to STOP doing them or keep myself all doped up. It hurt sooo bad. but I can hold in my urine all day if I have to

ok Ok OK I AM DOING THEM!!!

I got a good chance to practice yesterday while standing in line at the post office for OVER AN HOUR. No Kidding - over an hour! To mail one tiny little package! When I first got in line, there were 12 people in front of me, and only one person working a register. I noticed the woman in front of me just had a few letters, so I asked her if all she needed was stamps. She said, mournfully, yes. I asked her how many. She said six. I gave her six stamps out of my wallet and wouldn't take any money for them and it made me feel good. My first Random Act of Kindness in 2006. Yay! So anyway I then proceeded to stand in that line for over an hour, more like an hour and fifteen minutes. It amused me that I was standing there kegeling away, with nobody having any idea what I was doing. And today I coughed a big cough and didn't leak at all. Probably not a coincidence. I'm doing them! I promise!

Today's bump!

I feel like I've done my quota if I do 100 "superkegels" (where you squeeze 3 times before relaxing.) But when I took prenatal yoga the last time around, we sat there forever doing kegels. Well, maybe 10 minutes. What's everyone else doing?

Oh, and I try to do them at the same time every day so I don't forget, like right after dd has dropped off to sleep at night. Kegels at the red lights never worked for me, 'cause inevitably I'd hit all the green lights all the way home!
