Who's doing their kegels?! - Page 3

I need to go to the bathroom every time I take even a sip of water. Do kegels really help that? My doctor told me I was very loose & needed to do kegels or my bladder would soon fall out. I thought she was exaggerating. Maybe not? How many should I be doing per day?

Eli, I posted earlier my little "routine" that I think works really well. That could give you an idea of "enough".

And no, your bladder falling out is no joke! I feel SO MUCH pressure on my bladder and pelvic floor all the time, and have to kegel myself silly to keep from peeing my pants when I sneeze. I think the position of the babe staying down low has done this.

I have, once a week or so, tried to do kegels, but they give me weird muscles spasms down there. Almost like the big "O" but not particularly enjoyable. I'm hoping that will go away and I can catch up in the last few months.

My midwife told me to make up labels on the computer and put them around the house all saying KEGEL!!!

I have had a really hard time remembering to do them, so I love this thread. I tore to HIGH HEAVEN with ds (dd was c-section) and I didn't do any kegels when I was pg with him. My mw told me I really need to do them this time and it will help to prevent me from tearing. She told me that on Tuesday, I'm doing MUCH better at remembering now!

LOVE THIS THREAD!

My Bradley instructor for dd#2 gave us Kegel stickers. I put one on my monitor (it's still there) to remind me to do them whenever I'm at the computer. I'm on here enough to get in more than my share of them. During my last pregnancy, the kegels stopped the leaks when sneezing or coughing, something that plagued me intermittently between pregnancies, too. It really works!!

I'm glad I've been doing them!

I woke up in the middle of the night last night with an EXTREMELY full bladder and if I hadn't been doing my kegels then I think I wouldn't have made it to the bathroom.

Uh oh it's been a week! Quick, everyone kegel!

Just another reminder, ladies!

Yesterday while playing with DS and DH I laughed so hard that I leaked, enough to have to change panties.

Kegel, kegel, kegel!!!!!

I keep forgetting to do it too...

Although I got a good reminder last weekend! I was heading to a baby shower and a motorcycle passed me... the license plate was KEGEL!

For those of us still waiting to meet our babies:

A friendly reminder to do your kegels from your fellow kegel-er.

And for those of us who already have babes-in-arms, how GLAD were we that we did kegels and now need to kegel more than ever...things feel very loose down there! I can feel the kegels' effect even one week pp.

Can you tell all I think about is having this baby?? Of course all the mamas who've already had their babies need a kegel reminder, too! Don't know how I could have not thought of that. Call it pregnancy induced brain fog!

Yep, me me me....

Pretty easy to do em sitting down, but standing and kegeling is a *very* odd sensation. It's just getting better now (though I haven't spent a lot of time standing...)
