Red Raspberry Leaf Tea and Spotting

I was just posting to see if anyone else had similar experiences. I have been taking RRL tea almost every day since I knew I was pregnant. Then last week (4.5 weeks) I started spotting. I am now thinking that the RRL tea might have something to do with it as on Sunday I didn't have either RRL tea or spotting, and the same for today. For sure I'm stopping the RRL tea just in case and will start up again at about 20 weeks or so and play it by ear.

Just curious if anyone else had any thoughts on this.

Hmm.. wonder if it could be implantation bleeding. How much are you drinking?
I remember reading somewhere to go easy on the rrl until the 2nd trimester, as it can cause minor spotting early on and may cause early mc. Other places say it's OK throughout..
I'd listen to my body though. Good luck.

Yeah, I thought it might just have been the placenta embedding (I had implantation bleeding on Jan 2nd) but it went off and on for 4 days, so I'm discontinuing it like you said, until at least the 2nd trimester.

There's a rrl tribe under the general I'm Pregnant category. Several ladies there have had trouble w/ spotting when drinking the tea early on too. Some women don't seem to have any trouble drinking it throughout, but it sounds like you're doing the right thing. Like Avima said, justlisten to your body.

Yeah, I saw the tribe but didn't want to go on there being all antagonistic, ya know? But it's good to hear that I'm not the only one and hopefuly DCing it will get rid of the spotting.
