Howdy! New to this board!

When I was younger, I realy enjoyed sketching and painting. When I got to college, there just never seemed to be enough time. After, there was no money Now, I've got neither time nor money (!!!), but am determined to fit art back in my life.

So, where do you visual art people find the least expensive equiptment?

By equipment, I assume you mean supplies?

I work with teachers in varoius school districts through the country on maximizing their supplies on minimal budgets.
Local stores are okay for one's and two's items, but if you are looking for a good place to start up, check out national art catalogs. I've listed the main 6 national art supply catalogs. Most have low minimum orders ($25.00). You have to pay shipping, but most often the savings is still better than your local craft store.
They all are reputable companies, have online sites (plug the name into a search engine), and will send you a free catalog. (Talk about daydream time!) And will sell to an individual person. You don't have to be a school or ogranization to order from them.

Sax Arts & Crafts
Nasco Arts & Crafts
Triarco Arts & Crafts
United Arts & Education
Dick Blick Art Materials
Discount School Supply

Compare prices - while Crayola may be chaper through one, paper , and paint may be cheaper through another...
I hope this helps!
Happy Crafting!
