Homeopathy for Allergies?

Maybe this isn't the right forum. This is about me and not my kids. I have terrible dust/spring/fall/year round allergies. What's good for that homeopathy wise? I have to take clariton practically year round everyday.
It's bad for me and expensive! I have a ton of homeopathy stuff here but have no idea what to take. TIA!

We have been treating my daughter with homeopathy. She has several food allergies.
It sounds like you are looking for symptom relief, but I would suggest going to see a homeopath and start treating the root cause of the problem. For my DD, we have used homeopathics to treat her adrenal gland as low adrenal function contributes to allergies and her adrenal tested low (through muscle testing). I am planning to get her retested soon as it seems to have helped. She no longer has the crazy reactions she once had when exposed to at least one of her allergens. We haven't attempted to reintroduce any of the others yet.

I didn't respond to this earlier because I was going to say the same thing. You really need to see a classical homeopath to get it all sorted out. THe remedies aren't based on your symptoms-per se. They're based on how your body reacts to the offending allergen. It's a bit complicated, and difficult to self-diagnose. Another person with the same exact allergies would likely have a very different remedy. Homeopathy will help dramatically once you have you constitutional remedy. I just don't want you to get frustrated with it due to incorrect usage.

Same Here...

I was just getting on here to ask the exact same thing... Well, almost exact. I know you can't ask for the same remedies as someone else is using, but I was going to ask if anyone has had success themselves with homeopathic treatments.

I just called our only local homeopath today and it costs $200 for the first visit (2 hours) and $70 for every visit after that. The receptionist was all ready to schedule an appointment for me and I just had to say, "Well, I'm not in the position to pay $200 at this point. We are a homeschooling family on one income and I just don't happen to have $200 sitting around at this time for this." I did ask her if she had any scholarship programs or sliding fees or anything (we probably wouldn't qualify... my husband makes just enough so that we don't, but it's certainly not like we're rolling in the dough, if you KWIM) and they don't offer anything like that.

I'm just frustrated and sad. My allergies are new to me, since we've moved here to FL - tho I think I was beginning to develop them in MN. I don't WANT to be on Flonase year round. I don't want to be on it at all! I just hate that it costs so much - that alternative therapies price themselves out of reach of anyone but the wealthy. I realize folks have to make a living, but it's just a sad state.

Ulitimately, I'll probably just have to bite the bullet and do this. But, my husband isn't thrilled with the idea of homeopathy (after having experiences himself with it with no success) and I don't see that he's going to want to fork over $200. So, that's why I'm interested in the success rate others have had. Thanks so much.

We've had incedible success-so much so that it's the only modality that we use. We've pretty much given up up herbs because they're just no longer relevant. My dh thought it was a MAJOR scam, but lo and behold five years later and he's doing it as well. He has avoided medication for depression as have I. Dd and ds have both been treated successfully. My mother has watched our journey and after much thought has decided to stop chemo and sees our homeopath for the first time tomorrow. We love it. I can't recommend it enough. We are flat out broke (can't always afford groceries-and were homeless for a period of time) and don't have insurance. Homeopathy is absolutely worth the cost-TO US. Besides, how much would we be paying out of pocket for drugs if we didn't have it?

Yea!

Elisabeth,
I'm so happy to hear of your success. I was pretty bummed last night. I have a couple of books on hold to tide me over until I go. Yes, I get to go! Yea!! This morning on the way to our Bible study my mom asked how I was feeling and I just had to say the same. Not great - even with the Flonase. And then I told her I called the homeopath and how much it was and she offered to pay for it! I am so thrilled! I've made an appointment for Feb. 8 - the soonest I could get in. I'll be so glad to be able to talk with someone and not have to guess at remedies. And after the initial visit, we can handle any other visits I need to have - financially I mean.

I love my mama.

Isn't family amazing? I'm really glad you are getting the visit, a good homeopath is about all you need in life! I am forever in debt to ours. It took awhile, the first two homeopaths I saw weren't classical homeopaths and I wasted a couple of years. I mean, it wasn't a TOTAL waste...several shifts happened. I just wasn't wowed until I found this doc a year and a half ago. Now everything has shifted. I'm really excited to hear how it goes-keep us posted!
