This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I've had something similar the whole time. I kinda "feel" like this baby will come early (DH REALLY does), yet I'm PLANNING on it coming late, if that makes sense. So it's really frustrating when people tell me, "Oh, that's just impatience and high hopes that you don't have to wait until your DD" (or something similar), because I'm not THINKING this baby is coming early (like I said, I'm planning on it coming late), I just have a "feeling"...if that even makes sense at all.
Anyway...I'm not sure yet what it means for me. I'm 35w3d and have already had lots of possible signs that this baby could come early (lost part of plug, ctx's, spotting, backache, etc.) but yet they're also signs that women can have for a month before labor, so who knows...

I told dh/family/friends weeks before my edd that ds would be born on 8/27/03 and would weigh 7lbs 4oz, and I was right. (I had some freaked out loved ones.) I'd had a premonition about it. So, I think it's totally possible for your feeling/intuition to be right!

I had a feeling my second would be a preemie. I mean, my first was 4 weeks early, so I knew that my chances were higher than average, but I suspected that number 2 would be even earlier. In fact, I remember very early on in my pregnancy picking up "The Premature Baby Book" and skimming it. I nearly bought it, and thought to myself that I was being silly. Then I ended up buying it a week or so after she was born

Those are your mama instincts! I had the same thing w/both dds. They were both early (not preemies, but early.) I also *knew* both were dds. I knew right away with dd2.

I knew my second would be a little early b/c I had preterm labor. But I also felt there was something wrong with her and was worried about it, quietly, the whole pregnancy. I had an extra u/s done at 25 weeks b/c it appeared that she had stopped growing. She was just breech and squished but appeared healthy. Still I couldn't shake the doom and gloom feeling and I didn't allow myself to bond with her. I forced myself to mentally go through the worst scenerios of her dying or being born way too early so I would be prepared. I just knew something was not right. When she was born at a healthy 38 weeks, I still couldn't shake the feeling even though she looked healthy. She ended up having severe, awful reflux and some related feeding problems.
I had a strong intuition about a friend who had a baby a few months ago. It was during a heavy rain storm and thoughts of her popped into my head and I said, "I'll bet she's having her baby right now." I also had a premonition weeks ahead of time that her baby would get stuck and she would have some bleeding, and that it would be a girl. Turned out I was right on all three accounts. Thanks to some very skilled midwives both she and baby were fine, but it was a hard recovery for her. I never shared my fears with her ahead of time because I didn't want to worry her, and honestly I thought it would sound silly to share it with anyone else.

Both dh and I had a feeling something wasn't right with my last pg. We waited until I was 16/17 weeks before telling my parents and 23 before telling dh's. We joked about not telling anyone but had a serious side to it. At 30(I was really 32weeks) weeks I went into preterm labour after falling. At 34.5weeks(36.5weeks) I went into preterm labour & had bleeding after sex. I had NST's twice a week for 3 weeks after that, on the 2nd last one it showed decelerations into the 80's. They did a biophysical that I passed but only after rolling from side to side for 15 minutes and he just happened to get the last movement at the last minute. My water broke the 2 days before I was 40weeks(really 42), I didn't go into labour and there were decels with every contraction so I was augmented. It took from 1:30pm-3pm before it finally kicked me into labour even though I'd been having contractions since 12weeks. 50minutes later they turned everything off and called a surgeon in for a c-section because I was not progressing even though I felt like I was in transition. I was still the 2-3cm, 60% effaced and not engaged that I had been 8hours earlier. While they were calling the surgeon her heartrate dropped to 13 but went back up, people run fast when those machines start bleeping. The surgeon got there at 4:30 and confirmed that a c-section was necessary. 18minutes later she was born vaginally. Though she got stuck, almost died again, my dr had to reach in and pull her out.
There was a knot in her cord that was getting pulled. It was a long cord(3ft) and that was what saved it, it had just enough length to not be pulled so tight to cut everything off.
It was determined that my dates were right and she was 2weeks overdue, but only 6lbs 5oz becuase of the cord cutting her supplies off. They were watching me for IUGR from 20weeks on. Her body was not mature enough, she had reflux, couldn't have any dairy(at 3.5 still has issues sometimes), was delayed in just about every milestone. She was a miserable baby, screamed all the time, rarely smiled. Most of her behavioural issues have gone away but she has problems with retention and speech but the idiots here don't want to do anything for her.

I though my third would be my smallest baby.. just a gut feeling. There must have been a mistake in the instinctmessage system because she was my largest. lol.
plan on it, be prepared.. but try not to be to anxious or disappointed if babe isn't here early. Who knows, maybe your instincts are better than mine, hehe.

Well, I had a feeling that this baby would be early-- mostly I think because I've been carrying so low for so long. Tons of BH, lots of mucus.... but I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow.
Where's the "twiddling my thumbs" smilies??

So i'm preparing myself for both outcomes. At least I feel the baby is healthy and doesn't have a genetic defect dd and I both carry

My mom had that same feeling with me. She honestly thought she was gonna miscarry me. I was due in late October, ended up being born August 10, due to preeclampsia. She was 19 years old, and didn't feel... "right." She says she wasn't in pain or uncomfortable, just not right. Went to her doctor, the doctor examined her and said to go to the hospital, like now. The doctor told her to call my Dad and have him quickly bring her hospital bag, and she said "Oh, it's already in the car." She had her bag packed and ready for months, so strong was her feeling that I would be early.
Our small-town hospital wasn't equipped to handle her, so she was life-flighted to Portland, where I was born at Emanuel hospital. 2lbs, 14oz.
She also knew I would be a girl.

I haven't made it to the delivery part yet so I can' vouch for that but I certainly believe in intuition.
We had been TTC but then got sidetracked with other stuff so it wasn't any longer in our plans but I woke up at am and knew I was pregnant. Even before the stick had two lines.
I also felt early on that my baby was a boy. I never thought of him as a baby girl. Months later the u/s confirmed it.
Sometimes you just know...
