PGNPORTLAND had her baby girl!

PGNPORTLAND uses the internet at the library and won't make it there for a little while so asked me to let you all know that she had Sophia Rose Wednesday evening around 6 pm. She was 19 3/4 in. long and 5 lbs 14 oz. I will let her tell the whole story when she gets back, but I will tell the super abriviated version. L.abor started with a slow leak of amniotic fluid. Sophia was posterier making for a difficult labor. A little while after pushing began they could not find the heart beat so off to the OR she went for an emergency c-section. Mama.. however had other plans and birthed vaginally in the OR before they could do the c-section!! Mama is doing well, but tired and nursing is going well also.

I was wondering about her since she hadn't posted in a while! Glad to know they're doing OK and narrowly avoided the c-sec...mama didn't want to be cut! That sounds exactly like my labor with DS--slow leak at first, and I know how hard a 1st labor with posterior is...and narrowly avoided a c/s myself!

That's great! I've been wondering about her also. We are both first time mamas. I think that's so awesome that she pushed her out before they could cut her open! Happy babymoon mama .

Congratulations! I love it, birthing before they could do the cesarean - I'm sure it was so scary at the time but that's such an awesome birth story to come away with!

Welcome to the world, Sophia Rose!
