Congratulations, Persephone!!!

We joined MDC around the same time and even joined a TTA thead together early on. When I saw that you were expecting months ago, I was so excited for you and occassionally lurked your signature countdown to see how far along you were .

I'm so very happy for you and your DH! Welcome, Victoria!!!!!

I'll post the full story later, but I had about the best possible hospital birth. I have ZERO regrets. Victoria nurses like crazy, and I have sore nipples. Any ideas?
Will write more later. I too have sore nipples. I have been putting milk on them after Michael finishes. That seems to help a little.

Is she latching correctly? Big open mouth, tounge way down, all that good stuff? A lot of the time sore nipples are indicators of a not-so-hot latch. I lucked out, my little guy is a crappy latcher but my nipples are okay (phew!) Breastmilk on them is good, Lansinoh is good. Um.. what are those things called??? They're little breastpads that have cooling gel in them, those feel good.
ETA: The most obvious reason you have sore nipples is because this is the first time they'[ve been used on such a regular basis and they're not used to it. Just thought I'd add that

spoke to LC,and i think latch is good.... but i also think she latched badly a few times first... i have those gel things on now, but they still hurt

It can take a little while fr the soreness to go away, even with a good latch. Here's to happy nipples soon!!!
