It's taken me a while to get back online, but here's the stats:
Liam James

9lbs 1oz, 22 inches
Our home birth didn't go as planned, and we ended up transferring to the hospital after 2 days of labor and 2.5 hours of pushing. I felt everything in my back, and pushing was so painful that I wasn't very effective bringing him down. I got the epidural once we got to the hospital, and Liam was born with the help of the vacuum extractor. It's not exactly what we planned for, but we are all healthy and happy. Turned out he had an elbow cocked up behind his head....little stinker! Anyway, we were really lucky with the doctor on call. He respected all of our wishes re: not annoucing the sex, no episiotomy (I ended up with two small tears), and putting baby right on mom. The staff pedi was even supportive of our refusing the Hep B vax and leaving little Liam intact. We came home after 24 hours and have been having a wonderful babymoon ever since!
