Contraction question...

I also posted this in the Pregnancy boards, because I wasn't sure where it fit.

Okay, this isn't like a "crazily hopeful" question, it's actual serious and I'm not just HOPING that I'm having contractions. I'm really wondering if this could possibly be happening...

When I get BH, what I feel is simply a tightening in my abdomen. That's it. But sometimes I have a really achey, tight feeling on the sides of my uterus (like O pains, almost), and even moreso low in my pelvis (sometimes it hurts like gas pains- but no gas). But I don't have back pain WITH them, so I KNOW they're not "real" contractions, however...

Now, my wondering is if having been a RRL tea drinker (before the pg. and for the last month or so...religiously), if I'm not feeling contractions like someone else might, since I may have REALLY toned up that uterus. For example, RRL takes a lot of pain out of AF cramps for lots of women...and that also brings me to wonder if that's why I've been having such "slight" cramps...like I feel them but when I concentrate on them they go away (I usually get TERRIBLE cramps).

Does any of that make sense?? I know lots of women who have gone into labor painlessly (they never even knew they were having contractions until active labor), so that, too, makes me wonder. I mean, I'm sure it's FAR from my luck that I'd be one of them, but it still sparks the question, KWIM?

Who says you have to have back pain to have real contractions? Everyone experiences them somewaht differently. So these could be the real thing for you. That said, time them and keep watch on them. If they continue to progress and get closer, I'd say it's the real thing. If they taper off after relaing, drinking water and such, then it's not real. ELV to you!
