So, anyone else??? It seriously feels like this baby is clawing his/her way out of me!! Every so often I'll get very sharp stabbing feelings in the cervix. It's SO weird. Am I alone? I don't remember this with my other three.

Not that I have anything to compare this too.... But today certainly, my babe is totally pushing aka head jumping on my cervix.
I haven't felt 'clawed'
yet, My Three Boys, but I've been catching my breathe and needing to relax even more. I really am feeling a more movement down pressure too.
My dh says that the babe is exploring and trying to figure out if there's something on the other side of the cervix

Yep, those really hurt. They're surprising and make me gasp and wince. Actually since baby has gotten so low and so big, it's been a lot better. I think s/he can't move enough to cause as bad of pain as I was getting 2-3 weeks ago. But yesterday s/he managed what felt like a headbutt on my cervix. Definitely an OUCH moment! Hang in there, maybe it'll get better soon. Then if you're like me you'll just feel like you're going to poop the baby out all day, LOL!
Isn't it fun!

Oh yes, my first was notorious for this kind of thing. I swore one day I was gonna look down and see a little hand. It was better once he grew bigger and his head was in the way too much. Then I guess he just twiddled his fingers....

I've been having these for a long time, but last night I was having a LOT of them. They do hurt - make you catch your breath. Guess it just practice for our breathing/relaxation.

yes, my first was nasty that way. I carried her super duper low too (used to joke that I carried her in my socks for those last few weeks). It wasn't nice.
Last baby and this one have been higher, but I've had a few 'shock' like pains in my cervix the last couple of Saturday evenings (maybe I spend too much time standing on weekends? I dunno?)
And they've been pretty breath taking. ..
and not in a nice way.

It's almost like a pinch sometimes isn't it? I've had everything from a little pressure, to a pinch to the clawing, to downright OMG painful!!! I asked my doctor and he said "well, your uterus is like a balloon that has been blown up 4 times, it isn't as elastic and strong as it was with your first so it isn't holding baby up like it should and baby is putting pressure .... "

He's told me this about 5 times now and I think if I hear it again I'm going to smack him!
When the pain gets bad (and frequent) I walk around holding my belly up (dh laughs at me) it helps a little - can't wait to have baby on the outside so he or she will stop torturing me from the inside

Boy am I glad to see this thread! I had a "bump" or a something on my cervix today that really made me stop and breathe, lol. Those really hurt! I did't have this much with my other 2 but I can relate to the feeling of baby clawing it's way out, lol. I have had several of these a day where they make me catch my breath! Glad to hear I am not alone!

Ouch yes i get them all too often. Just the other night i couldn't sleep cause this was going on for about an hour. It makes me climb the walls.
I had some in the car a few weeks ago and with the first one i screamed so loud my husband almost hit the curb.
I had my window down and immediately rolled it up. People must have thought i was losing my mind.

I got these really badly with DS, and now DD2B is starting in on me too. It really 'zings' me and it is painful in a really irritating kind of way.
At least she is easier on my bladder so far than he was. That was the worst...same kind of scratching feeling, just on the bladder. Yuck.

Yup Fist in the cervix multiple times. Right now, he is just kinda headbutting me, but I could have sworn he punched THRU my cervix about a month ago. Like, if I had felt up there, I could have smacked his hand. My MW assured me that it can't happen, but my son is a superboy, and I am sure he did it.
