Thanks for supporting me ladies!
Well, I spent all day Fri and Mon calling and leaving messages but never even got to speak to DH's bosses.I spoke with the ombandsman ( she is the ships go between if there are problems) and she said all that could be done is for DH to ask his chain of command and when I go into labor ( or I am told to ) make a call to the boat and hope they are close enough to let him off to fly home. She did volunteer to be with me during labor and she is the daughter of a nurse midwife and has held many hands so I will take her up on that.I got pretty involved with the Family Support Group during the last deployment and the president knows my situtation and I got to be frineds with this ombudsman too so at least nobody will be strangers if I have to rely on them.
That being said I think I'm still gonna try one last thing to get him to stay home.I have two more NST appt this week and a OB appt tomorrow with an internal so I think I will email DH about how my fast my progress is and start having pains in the wee hours of the morning so that oops he will have to be with me to take me in the morning of his next underway. They would be real creeps to say no.The Dr did say to call L&D if I had 5 to 6 contractionss in an hour and I get that many in a half hour already so it won't be that big of a stretch, I just know these aren't labor contractions.
I also ran into the two people I really didn't want to talk to for fear of spewing green jealousy at them last night when I tried to comfort myself at Target( my Calgon). One was the girl who had her DH last month for her birth and the other was the one who has her mommy here, was planning on having an epidural from the begining,is not high risk, and will not be breast feeding.Garrr! I did manage to not let them know how unfair I think my life is compared to thiers thank goodness, we can still be friends after this situation is over.
Thanks again ladies for supporting me, it really helps.
