Almond milk/flour

Hi everyone,

I've been making almond milk for my babe by soaking and then blending blanched organic sliced almonds with water, then straining through fine mesh. What's the best way to dry the resulting almond meal? I've been keeping it sealed (which stays moist) in the fridge and adding it to meals, but want to dry it out to use as flour. Any tips on the best way to do so without losing nutrients?

TIA!

I wasn't going to answer since I have no idea....but since noone else has at least I can suggest something! Try drying it out (gently) in the oven and then grinding it into a meal. If you had a food dehydrator that would work as well, but if it were me I would use the oven. Let us know if anything works.

Thanks for trying to help!

And yes, that's what I've been doing, but it is taking forever to dry and I'm worried about it getting rancid. I tried about 1 hour in my toaster oven at 200 last night and it barely worked at all. I left it in my main oven with the light on overnight and it's still really moist. Argh!
