Yes, he did but that was in the genital area and now it's down on the legs and arms. It doesn't appear that the two are the same thing. Then, when I saw that the skin was sloughing, that sent up red flags and then add to that what appears to be a systemic infection, the pain and that he passed out, it's got the earmarks of Kawasaki. The only diagnostic indicator that's left is the red tongue and/or lips. Now, I may be completely off base and wrong but at least, Kawasaki Syndrome will be considered and possibly ruled out. Sometimes making a diagnosis is a matter of ruling everything else out. If he does have Kawasaki Syndrome, he needs to be put on appropriate meds as soon as possible as in ASAP. With proper and fast treatment, virtually all cases of Kawasaki Syndrome are successfully treated with no lasting effects.
While I may be ringing the alarm bell for no reason, it is a chance I need to take. If I'm wrong, the appropriate treatment will be continued. If I'm right, ringing the alarm bell could possibly save Charlie's life.
