Thanks for this thread. I have two questions:

1. I teach at a university. Can I claim books, etc. as business expenses?

2. I moved long-distance for a job and the employer did not may any of my expenses -- could I count them as a business expense or get anything else?

I have two questions.
Can I claim student loan interest on my taxes, even though I'm not actually *paying* it-- it's just accruing through forbearance?
Also, my husband worked for a few weeks as a contract employer. Should he receive any paperwork from that company to use on his taxes, or do we just report it as income? I assume being a contract employer means he can deduct his travel expenses, maybe on an xcents / mile basis?

I also have a ??? Can I claim my homebirth under medical stuff, like my mw fee, $$ spent on supplies, etc?? Also, I had out of pocket medical expenses that happened in Nov, but were paid in Jan. Do they count for 05 or 06? Thanks
