back from the ER...ugh

Thread Starter
A very large amount of bloody mucous in dd's diaper led us to the ER at 5am.

Ruling out the unliekly serious complications, we have a wait-and-see verdict that it is just allergic collitis from an allergy from some food I am eating in my breast milk.

Anyone previously had a good system for identifying the culprit food?

I had given up dairy at birth, but I am now going to give up nuts, eggs, wheat, soy, and chocolate for two weeks and see if it proved to be one of those...

Life will seem tough without chocolate and peanut butter!!!

I'm afraid I'm no help, but I just wanted to send a : your way. Sorry you're sweet wee one is going through this, and that you have to give up the yummiest foods on the planet!

Yikes, that must've been scary. Hope your little baby is feeling better.

I couldn't imagine life without chocolate.

Awww, no one should have to take a baby to the er. I hope you find the culprit soon.

Elimination Diet

It's for really drastic symptoms. If your current diet doesn't identify the problem, then you might want to remove a lot more. I'm currently off dairy, caffeine and my prenatals to try to identify the cause of our case of baby heartburn, and life without chocolate and coffee would suck if it weren't for my happy, sleeping baby.
