My period already?!?!?

I don't have it yet, but it definately feel like it's right around the corner. I've been crampy and had pale pink discharge. My pp bleeding ended a couple weeks ago, so this must be it. Darn! And Samara nurses all the time!

6-8 weeks it's common to have hormonal bleeding, not period but just flux in hormones. might more likely be that.

Hmmm the NFP/FAM book says women often have an anovulatory "period" right before their cycle actually starts up again. That bleeding might be the harbinger of your returning cycle... so be careful! My midwife commented that even nursing mamas sometimes get their cycles back after only a few weeks. She's noticed that this most often happens when the baby starts sleeping for a good chunk of the night, like 6 hours.

The first 57 (maybe it's 65 ) days after birth any bleeding is considered post partum bleeding. I'd say you're ok!

That's good to hear. I just started bleeding again after a week of nothing at all (I'm 5 weeks postpartum). With my first 3 children, I did not have a period until they were weaned, so I'm hoping it's just something hormonal and/or pp.

Samara sleeps about 12 hrs a night, waking up one time to nurse.

I feel crampy, definately like a period. I haven't been crampy since 1 wk pp. PLEASE don't let this be it.

Still no bleeding...just pink stuff.

i would gladly trade a period for some sleep.

sorry- though...i knowwhat ya mean. periods do suck..its a nice side effect of bf'ing to not get one. i'm getting the mirena iud- thats supposed to make periods be super light or not at all. nice.

I think I got my period too... Started bleeding a little yesterday and is steadily getting heavier. Got my wonderful cramps too. I'm going tomorrow to get my Mirena so hopefully that will help!

I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my body as well... it's a bit wonky, but nothing definitive as of yet. I'm at just a bit over five weeks pp and after about a week of nothing, there's definitely something... but I'm not sure what!

I got my period back with my son at 8 weeks PP. He was nursing every 2 hours, even at night and we did not supplement at all. I was so ticked off. My friend who started supplementing at 6 weeks, whose daughter slept through the night from almost the getgo, her period didn't come back until she stopped nursing at around 10 months. I was not a happy camper.

I expect my period to rear its ugly head any day now. Teagan goes 3 to 4 hours between nursing during the day, will cluster feed at night, but will only wake up once a night to nurse.

So it can come back early

I stopped bleeding for a week but it came back dang it. So now at 6 weeks pp, I am still bleeding. Spectacular. LOL This happened with Jevin too but with him I didnt get PPAF back until 19.5 MONTHS. LOL I hope that happens again.

nak - Didn't get mine until 18 mo with DS...but he nursed round the clock. Kali goes for a few hours without nursing. This is scaring me...I don't want to get my period and I don't want to use birth control....YIKES! Not that I need to worry much about that yet, but...

what the heck? bleeding stopped, now it's just mucousy pink stuff again. I know way tmi, but after pregancy with you all, I'm sure you don't mind.
