Yay, no more boxes of books in the garage.

I brought in all the boxes of books, and books I found in random boxes, from the garage. I went through them, and packed up most of them to donate on Monday. I did find some cool things--2 brand new children's books that I bought when I was pregnant! In fact, DH read one to our daughter tonight. To make room on our bookshelves for the books I decided to keep, I packed up a ton of books from our bookshelves. It feels so good. I'm not going to feel completely free, though until the books are safely out of the house. I fear that I'll be in a different mood tomorrow and not want to get rid of the books anymore.

Also, I don't believe there are many more bank statements circulating in random boxes in the garage anymore. A few days ago I gathered as many as I could find and filed them. We moved here in 2004 so it's not like I'm keeping ancient statemetns.

Oh, that's great! Books are my weakness too. Especially cook books and children's books. I have a couple of boxes in the garage that I need to donate but "haven't got around to yet". I am so attached to my books, yet rarely have the leisure to read anymore. Good luck! My feeling is that especially for the ones that were already in the garage it will be OK to send them off fondly, wishing them well. Refining my bookshelves is something I am constantly doing. I like to have a little bit of space on them too, and I have to say, I've never regretted it yet.
