Do you let you kids of opposite sex sleep together?

I was reading the poll about letting a 2 year old boy and a five year old boy sleep together and I was wondering if you let boys and girls sleep together? A family that I used to baby sit for put their son and daughter together in their bed and then moved them to their own rooms later. This was after they were done with the family bed. Even when the kids were teenagers they slept in the same room. One would be on the floor and the other in the bed.

Our ds (5) and dd (1.5) just started sleeping together. Usually they fall asleep together then ds comes in our bed around 1ish and ds comes in around 4. So far so good. We'll probably do this until either express they want their own space or we move into a bigger house.

When my ds1 was 8 and dd1 was 3 they slept together every night. They did that for a few years. He still reads to a couple of the kids at bedtime. Then dd1 and ds2 sleep in our bed together until we come to bed. Then they like to be in their own beds. I don't see a problem with it. I shared a room with my older brother for a long time.

I certainly don't see anything wrong with it. I shared a room with my brother for the first 12 years of my life. I have fond memories of "crashing" at his place when we were older and we'd sleep in his bed, talk all night. It was fun.

I can imagine that some people might have hangups about this related to our society's weird sexual issues, but honestly I think that this is not an issue for a normal, healthy family. Instead, I think it's a way to bring closeness and foster good relationships among siblings.

Yes, people were often freaked out when I told them that my kids slept together. What's the difference, they were freaked out that I slept with them past eight weeks too!
