I have been NIP since ds was born Dec 01, only "covered up" the first few months. So, I have, essentially, been doing this for a while (this is not an area where you ever see someone bf...so this has put me at the center of attention a few times). I am in a college Intro To Sociology class and we are supposed to do a "Norm Violation" assignment....do something against the norm and then write about how you felt and the reactions you got. I decided to do it about NIP and asked the prof first if I could us a past experience or if it had to be a new experience. Has to be new. He commented that I would need to find a new subject since "you probably don't nurse anymore". (well, I got my first reaction LOL). Told him I did still nurse and wondered if it would be alright with him if I brought my ds to class (several hundred people, I sit in the front of the room) and nursed him during the class. He said he would have no problem with that...sounded like a good idea.
Ok...here's the problem...I now have to follow through with what will surely become a story that will be told around campus...nurse in front of a roomful of mostly 18-20 year olds. I really feel like it is important, but damn I am terrified. I could really use some encouragement.
