OK, people keep recommending these, so I bought some today. I just got them out of the oven and they look disgusting. I followed the directions exactly, even though 1 CUP of oil seemed like an awful lot to me. I use egg replacer and since the little blurb on the bottom says to reduce liquid by amount in egg replacer, I thought I'd make it easier and just add the powder to the mix and forget about the water the egg replacer calls for. (I ALWAYS mix in my egg replacer powder and add the liquid later. None of this mix the egg replacer separately crap. Makes absolutely no sense unless you need them whipped or something, which the egg replacer wouldn't work for anyway.) So there wasn't nearly enough liquid. So I added water until the whole mix was wet enough that there weren't spots of dry mix all over. I had to squish it into the pan it was so dry. And yet I just pulled it out of the oven and it looks nasty. It's a gooey mess with an oil slick on top.

Did I do something wrong or does this mix just not work w/ egg replacer? Or maybe I'll be hopeful and some one will tell me the oil will sink in and the brownies will be delicious. I'll eat them regardles. I didn't pay almost $7 just to throw it in the trash. I felt bad spending that much when I thought they'd be good!

Mine didn't turn out either. I followed the directions to the T and it was rock hard on top and gooey in the middle. I ended up throwing it out. :

Mine were perfect!

I am not sure why tho.

They were kinda gooey in teh middle but that is how they are supposed to be arent they? You could definitely pick one up and it it w/o it falling all over the place.

This is one of the reasons I wont buy mixes based on rice flour :

Wow, we've never had any issue. I use enerG egg replacer, never tried it with real eggs, so I dunno.

Mine have turned out fine; we just leave the egg out completely, don't even try a substitute.
