I'm so anxious to hear from you, Heather! I keep compulsively checking to see if there is an update from you! Hope all goes smoothly for you!

My girls are coming home tonight! They probably won't get here until after midnight, so it could be a looong night, becaus3e they'll be wide awake and happy to be home. So I probably won't be checking in much this weekend, so I want to wish you all a great weekend! Anyone watching the Super Bowl? We probably will, and we'll be rooting for the Steelers.

I just came to check on Heather, too. What does your bouncy smilie mean? You're just hanging out? Cause I picked Feb. 3 (not 8th like I thought). So, come on baby!!!! (if you're ready, of course )

Dh is out of town overnight and then for 3 days and nights next week. So, we're preparing for lots of non-daddy help over the next week. I do hope to go watch "Brokeback Mountain" during the Super Bowl so I get a bit of a reprieve before it's all mommy, all the time. I'll check out the super bowl, too, but lost interest when the Broncos lost. Go Steelers, though!

Okay, off to our Waldorf Parent/Child circle.

Hang in there, Heather!

Oh, and Sherri, yay on getting reunited with your gals! I hope you have an awesome weekend
post #12 of 128
Sherri-- Yay!!! I bet you will be smothered in girly kisses all weekend! Hope you're feeling rested up! Will probably be rooting for the Steelers as well if not busy with other activities.

Had mw appt this morning and since I was up w/ so-so contrax since 2am : I had her check and definitely heading in the right direction.

Anyone else in teething h*ll?? Darn canines are making her super grumpy off and on throughout the day. It was nice enough to go to the park yesterday afternoon and I swear she growled at any kiddos who came near her....except for another May baby girl whose bday is two days after hers. And everything was "I do I do I do" ---so no helping her on the stairs even when she came perilously close to taking a dive.

Okay...off to do snack and perhaps an early nap for the both of us!

eta: Jacqueline---saw that movie a couple weeks ago and really liked it. The scenery is breathtaking and I'm not a crying at movies kinda person, but got teary esp. at the end. Hope you have a fun weekend!

HF, let's hear it for progress! Glad to know things are moving along. Forgive us for stalking you... inquiring minds wanna know, ya know?

Sherri, YAY for getting your girls home tonight! How are you feeling?

Jacqueline, good luck with the single mama act over the next week. That can be so difficult. Hope you get some time to yourself on Sun to break it up.

Hmmmm... time to myself? What's that?

We're not much for sports, in general, but the Super Bowl is our annual game we actually watch. I'm not doing too bad - I've known for over a week who is playing, even! We are invited to a SB party at the home of a family in my playgroup. I don't know the mama all that well, but I like her a lot, so it's a nice opportunity to get to know her a little better. Plus, the kids will all run around like crazies and then sleep well for the night.

Mia is having LOTS and LOTS of "i do it" and "self... SELF" insistence over here, too. It's frustrating sometimes because she tries so hard to do something over and over and gets super pissed if I try to help, but if she can't manage it on her own, she just falls apart. So sweet and so heartbreaking, all at once. I try to keep prespective and remember that frustration is a normal part of development and I have to let her go through that. But it's so hard to see her getting so upset, knowing I could just do it and it would be done in a half a second.

Okay... I have to run and empty the dishwasher so I can avoid the pile up of breakfast dishes... that turns in to the pile up of all dishes for the whole day, until I clean then up just in time to make dinner... and more dishes.

Subscribing! Crazy babe- no nap. Slept through the night for the first time last night- tearing up the house today: cat litter everywhere, water spills, a toddler at large.

I'll take it, though. It means he's doing well. Crazy crazy crazy yelling baby- gotta go.

Subscribing! Haha, my last post in the Jan. thread was Feb 1st and I don't have the energy to go and bring it here. Hahaha. Anyway, Yay! You know, I am so lame, I can't remember which day I predicted! We're gonna welcome a new Feather soon! YaaaaY!

Ah, mamas, I posted in the YG but Rowan has a DOUBLE ear infection. We're giving him antibiotics because he is INSANELY miserable (as a matter of fact, DH is upstairs patting his back and has been for a WHILE. Gonna be another rough night) and well...yeah. Rough week all around.

Okay, gotta decide (STILL!) whether I will go to the store to to the couch. Have a great night, mamas!

Hi everybody! Gleefully back online today after two days without internet. Egads!

Sherri, thinking of you with your girls. Hope you feel well and are enjoying them.

Renae, awww poor Rowan. I sure hope he feels better soon. And you take good care of yourself too, and papa faery too, because it is hard to watch a sick child as we all know!

Yay saturday.

Well, I'm still here....where is everyone else??

Renae--how is the little dude doing??

Els--glad you got your internet back---now get back here and tell us how things are going in the new place. How many weeks are you now??

Sherri--did you get smothered in kisses and hugs this weekend??

I'm here! I'm here!

Heather, glad to hear you are still here among us although today would be the day I guessed for you to bring your little feather in.

I am at 20 weeks now! Woot! Startin to really show the panza (belly). I loooove my new place and it is soo cozy. I have a cold this weekend, continuing today, and how funny is this--it is more restful for me to come to the office than to stay home--

Went to some nice potlucks this weekend with lots of kids and good food. That was good.

love to everybody. What did you all do this weekend?
hi heather! sending you labor vibes when you're ready for them...

els: glad you are cozying into your new place.

what we did this weekend:
marek and i hung out at home most of the weekend, except for a short trip to the grocery store yesterday and a trip to get dinner the night before because.... *drum roll please*... bill's dad flew him to detroit to see the steelers play in the super bowl from a super luxury box suite owned by steve sable (president of nfl films and client of bill's dad). we're on our way to pick up dada from the airport in a couple of hours, who will likely be very tired from the insane traveling for the weekend he did, but they had a blast and i'm glad he got to go, even though marek was up from 2:30am to 5:30am during the night on friday and couldn't stay asleep for some god-unknown reason... argh... oh, and we lost power for 8 hours that night, too, so it was butt freezing cold, for portland anyway.

what's the story with the 20lb party for portland mamas? i saw next sunday at laurelwood, but what time?

ok, time to get ready for our day.

ttfn and MMF!

~claudia
