Man, today was supoosed to be dd's first gluten free day. We start the day off with a bowl of oatmeal. I just realized I have no idea if that's ok or not. Did I already manage to goof this up?

Yes, Irish Oats are supposed to be gluten free but MANY gluten intolerant folks react to them.

For a GF trial, oats have no place in the diet.

O'boy, thanks for letting me know. Don't know what I was thinking. I guess the lack of sleep did me in. I'll do better from now on.

A celiac association tested commericial oats, including McCann's and found ALL of them to be contaminated to some extent, some more than others. It is now said that oats should not be used by gluten intolerant people. We use quinoa with honey instead. Amaranth and honey is good too. Millet, milk sub and honey too. Toast the millet first.
