Not to make everyone hate me....but I'm sleeping MUCH better now than when I was pregnant. Luke is (knock wood) quite a good sleeper - pretty much from when we go to bed at 10 until 3; then side nurses for 45 minutes or so, then asleep until Aaron decides to come into our bed, and then nurses again. I don't have to pee every 30 seconds or try and find room for my gigantic belly.

yup, same here. i paid my friggin dues with Rowan and Ava is a FANTASTIC sleeper. from around 9 until 9 the next day she's pretty much asleep except for a few short stints of nursing. WOOHOO

I'm with Michelle. On sex and nursing.

With DS I did not get a decent night's sleep until maybe 5-6 months into my pregnancy when I finally got him to stop nursing so much at night. So i was terrified to give that up when Kali arrived. Don't hate me - but she is amazing!! She sleeps so well it is almost worrisome. Usually I am waking up to see if she is okay. Or to move DS away from my feet or the cat off my head. DH on the otherhand is safely ensconced on the other far side of the bed.

are you in bed with both of them?

Knock on wood, I got lucky too this time. I paid my dues with Mikayla and Jimmy and I am savoring every min of sleep with Samara. She goes to bed when I do, usually around 10 or 11. Sleeps till 4ish, nurses....but I only wake up long enough to help her latch, then I drift off after about 10 secs....so I really don't know how long she nurses. All I know is that Jimmy comes in and wakes me up about 7 or so and my boob is still hanging out and Samara is sound asleep. I get out of bed and she keeps sleeping till about 9.

Sex? What's that? It's been so long I forgot what that is. Last time was around week 39 of pregnancy in desperate attempt to help baby along. She was born at 41 wks.

Ha! Wendy, was that Karen's B-day or the day you gave up Sleepytime Tea?

I remember yesterday. I told myself that 15 minutes of sex was the equivalent to 150 minutes of sleep. It was a lie but, I figure, at least that was 15 minutes I wasn't trying to remember sleep!

you don't belong! get out of here!!! Bethany, you too!!! Seriously, that's wonderful. Joie is really a pretty good sleeper. She sleeps well, but Jude & Cicely get up early while she goes to bed late. I'm usually raking in 4-6 hours of sleep every 24 hours. Last night was 2 hours. (Jude's sick) I have no idea how i'm functioning.

I really wish my DH wasn't working so much. I've only been seeing him about 30 minutes a day.. of course you know how we spent 1/2 of our time together yesterday!

sorry, i'm another lucky mama (knock on wood a million times). m has been a great sleeper from birth. 'course, i know the drill with k, who didn't learn to sleep until she was well over a year old.

Karen was born 8/02. You do the math!

E actually sleeps quite well as well, nursing efficiently 2-4 times between 8:30 pm and 7:30 am. HOWEVER, my sleep now is nothing like it was pre kids, particularly when I was playing 2 soccer games and running 30 miles a week in addition to my commute which included walking a 500 vertical foot climb home from the train station every night.

For us it is hit and miss. some nights I can go to bed 9 or 10 and stay there until 6 or so with a few nursings in bed. Often I am up until 11 or 12 setteling Sam down for the night or up around 3 with a babe who peed through everything or just decided to get up way early. His long nights are getting more often, unfortunately I am getting sick more and more at night. So I am up any how

Julian and Luka BOTH nurse about 3 times a night. Which is GREAT for a 6 wk. old, but amazingly irritating for a 3 yr. old. Thankfully, Julian sleeps at his dad's 1-3 nights a week and I get tons of rest.

Ooh, Becca, that's great!!!

I actually got 7 hours of in bed time last night! Ahhhh. I feel soooooo much better! Nothing like a little catch up!

Ooh 7 hours is nice!!

Daphne sleeps pretty good.....its my own fault that I dont get enough sleep. I like my "alone" time so I stay up sometimes until 3 just cause I am a nut. LOL Jevin doesnt get up until about 9 though so that's still pretty good. Daphne takes like a 3 hour morning nap too.
