Did dust mite covers help?

I am still trying to figure out why my dd who is 4, complains that her eyes hurt. She also coughs a lot at night, but there is no real pattern to it. Has anyone tried dust mite covers for their mattress, duvet and pillow? Did it make a difference? If so, can you recommend a brand.

Yes, in our case it did help. I bought mine at Boscovs, and have no idea what brand they are. I tried all three kinds they had. If I had to buy them again, I would get plastic for the box spring and the more expensive cloth kind for the top and pillows. However, I must admit that having a plastic matress cover on DD's bed sure did come in handy for night time potty learning and sick clean ups. HTH!
