I was wondering if there is anyone in the chicago area who might have recommendations for an allergist or pediatrician who is knowledgable in this area.
After a nightmarish first year with my daughter (colicish behavior)I read the book "Is this your Child?" by Doris Rapp and by following her elimination diet determined that she was allergic to wheat, dairy, soy and sugar. By avoiding these foods she is generally healthy but continues to have a very sensitive stomach that often keeps us both up at night and is not growing much. My current doctors(homefirst group) are wonderful in so many ways but have nothing really to say about it other than to keep breastfeeding and maybe she will outgrow it. If anyone has any advice or references to share I would really appreciate it.
