Britney driving with baby on lap!!!

Help me photo-savvy mamas- the today show just showed a photo of britney driving with her baby on her LAP!!!! i'm searching for the photo but can't find it yet. argh, can she be at LEAST fined for this after the fact? and, hello, paparazzi, anyone of you have kids that find this minimally scary? ok, stepping down, getting too crazy at 7am & still have to go to work :

Wow.

The thing is, there's a guy in the car with her - why couldn't she hand the baby to him at least, and he could move to the backseat? Riding with a kid on your lap is bad, but behind the wheel is worse - one little fender bender and look how close that baby's head is to the wheel.

OMG, when I heard she was driving in the car with the baby in her lap I assumed you meant she was in the back seat with the baby on her lap, not DRIVING the car. That is scary, really scary. He could have been killed in an accident.

I thought you meant she was holding the baby while someone else was driving. But SHE was driving?!?!?!? Those pics made me sick to my stomach. Seriously, I almost threw up the coffe I just drank.

I am SEETHING now! How could anyone be SO incredibly stupid and neglegent! And the worst part is, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many girls look up to her...see her as some sort of a goddess or something. Great example she's setting.

She should be arrested and charged with aggravated child endangerment. Forget about the baby flying through the windshield and hitting the pavement at 65 MPH in a crash - even in almost stopped traffic, if her bumper TAPPED that of another car, the airbag would snap his neck. She claims she was "fleeing" papparazzi. Yeah, right...that woman LIVES in front of the press and has no problem with photos being taken of the baby. Give me a break. :

They just talked about it on the Today show and showed photos of her driving with the baby. They had someone from AAA talk about how dangerous it is and he talked about proper child safety in the car. I'm glad at least someone is speaking out publicly against her HUGE mistake. I was a little upset that the Today show didn't say anything about it and just let the AAA guy do all the talking.

It is CRAZY how celebs can get away with things like that. Where is CPS? Where are all the child safety reps? It's funny how they allow celebs to do things like this but average people would be hung for doing the same things.

I think Brit deserves a visit from CPS!

How the heck are the paparazzi gonna hurt her baby when he's inside the car? She put her baby in more danger then any paparazzi. I think it is a lame excuse.

I can't believe she'd even think about doing that, paparazzi or not. She has never even attempted to keep her son out of the press- she had him on the COVER of PEople magazine, fer peet's sake!
And now, I hear, she's pregnant again. Sheesh.

Ya'know, although I long ago came to the conclusion that Brit's a few fries short of a happy meal - I never thought she'd do something this stupid.

Unless one of those paps had a gun pointed at them or was threatening to ram them with another car there's no excuse for this. At the very least get in the car, shut and lock the doors, and have your bodyguard call the cops while you sit and hold your baby in your stationary car OR have the bodyguard climb into the back, hand him the baby and have him strap the baby in before you drive.

She also may want to consider buying a coffee maker.

The sad part is a lot of her teen fans who don't have kids are going to find ways to defend her and make this okay in their minds. I really wish she'd said in her statement that she was panicked at the time and did the wrong thing!! That I could understand. I can get suddenly being surrounded by people shouting horrible things at you and being momentarily panicked for your child's safety. I could instantly overlook it if her statement went on to say that she can't believe she did that, it was the wrong thing to do, and she'll never do it again.

Now I need to untwist my panties. Geez, I need to go read some real news.

So she tries to protect him from photogs by driving away with him on her lap. And the bodyguard is sitting in the pront seat too!
So why didn't he get in the back , grab the baby and buckle him in?
Or at the very least TAKE HIM from her?
