Snacks, especially on the go ones

We are dairy and gluten free, have been now for almost 3 years. My girls are tiring of the snacks I send with lunch. I don't really blame them. What do you use for snacks on the go. List them even if they are gluten or dairy free, I can usually make the substitutions. Here are some we have been relying on and are getting bored with:

muffins, especially banana and peanut butter
fruit leather
chopped veggies and dip
apples
bananas
nuts of all sorts
trail mix
cookies
cupcakes

Crackers (GF) w/ PB -- there are a few that are diary free, Ener-G crackers are not worth buying though

Grapes, Strawberries, oranges

GF Rice Crispy treats (I made some w/ Koala Krisp and the recipe on the Marshmellow bag) I then cut them up into bars like the Enviro Kids ones.

Chips (not necessarily healthy, but still are not too bad for an occassional treat), although the Hain's Carrot Chips would be more healthy than Lays IMO.

Fruit Snacks (I never bought a Fruit Snack in my life until the CD dx, the HFCS gets me, but on the cereal isle, it's the one thing he can have and well, he can't have so much...)

GF Gram Crackers -- I have a recipe, I haven't tried it yet, but it would be a variation of cookies

Maybe a Soy Pudding? I have a friend who's son loves the little soy pudding cups. Or rice pudding?

GF pretzels

Rice Cakes (mini rice cakes come in a variety of flavors, most of the Ranch flavors are dairy)

That has tapped my brain out... I've got the same problem. Of the above list my ds2 will eat 3 of those items!!!

I haven't tried the marshmallow things with the Koala Krisps. I did them with plain rice puffs. I have read somewhere about doing them with PB too. I may have to search for a recipe.

Unfortunately, the Quaker mini-rice things have sucralose (Splenda). I am trying to find a place to try Lundburg Rice Chips. I can't find them locally and hate to buy a case of them and the girls not like them.

Thanks for the suggestions.

www.frankferd.com is a co-op type deal w/o co-op fees. If a delivery run is in your area, they carry a mini-rice cake in flavors (I think Hains, could be wrong) and you can order just 1. The also have the Lundburg in a variety of rices (brown rice, wild rice, etc). I think an overall minimum order has to be $50 and then there is a delivery area min. I just ordered a case b/c they are on sale through the end of the month, I know my son liked the plain Hain ones -- now the local grocery store stopped carrying them along with a bunch of other GF foods and organic foods.

I am a member of a coop like that. But, I can't get the Hain rice cakes, I don't think. Also, Lundburg are by the case only. I want to try them first, YK.
