Is having a nasty cold a good enough excuse to not workout? And eat a candy bar?
I dont work out nearly as much as I should. Our workout is mostly play stuff. I will sit on the floor and do crunches (Jevin likes to sit on my knees) and I put Daph in the boppy on the floor next to us.....she is happy as long as we are talking to her. LOL We do alot of dancing too, she likes music. I just got a double stroller 2 days ago so now i can do better walks.

Pre preg weight- 157 lbs
Birth Weight - 208 lbs
Current weight- 170
Lost -38 lbs
Goal by summer- 155
Goal by 2007- 145

I have been on the elimination diet for almost 2 weeks, and like mariposta, I am beginning to wonder how food allergies have affected my weight, too.

I introduced wheat yesterday but will stay away from dairy as long as possible, semi-permanantly, to see if that is why I was always a few more pounds than I "should" be, considering what I eat. (we are nutrition fanatics)

I am having the hardest time fittingin exercising, too. I am starting with food. I take dd out in the stroller whenever it is 45 or warmer. I am from warmer climate I and I hate NE winters!

Prepregnancy weight: 138
Time of birth: 165
Current weight: 140.5
Total weight loss: 24.5
Height: 5'3"
Realistic shorter term goal: 130
Ideal long term goal: 125

My mom and boyfriend both say that 130 is way too small for me. Mom says I'm "big-boned". Boyfriend says he doesn't like skinny girls and won't be as attracted to me

Definitely try the food journal, even if just for a week. During my pregnancy I filled out a 1-week chart that was divided up into breakfast, midmorning snack, lunch, midafternoon snack, dinner, and evening snack. You might not want to snack QUITE that much when you're not pregnant (hehe) but still I found it so helpful to see what exactly I was eating, how much, and when. I used to THINK I knew what I ate, but after charting for a week I had a much more realistic idea. Good luck!

My own weekly weigh-in was this morning...

Weight at time of birth: 189
Current weight: 157.7
Total loss so far: -32.3
Goal weight: 135

Actually, I weigh myself every day (like an idiot), but I only track my Saturday-to-Saturday weight. I have this little routine where I pee, nurse Drew as much as he'll take, strip down, then weigh. I refuse to eat breakfast until all this is complete. A bit OCD, no?

Wow, you ladies are an inspiration.

I woke up this morning bound and determined to go for a long run today, and it's snowing. So much for motivation.

<geek talk>
Actually, our weight veries so much during the day, what you're doing is probably one of the only ways to get a consistent, reproducable measurement.

I'm still adjusting to life as a scale owner. I actually put it in the dining room and I've caught DH weighing himself several times. He's been adament about not owning a scale for years, but I think he's finally accepting the fact that he should work hard at losing 40+ pounds.

Good to know, Wendy. I'm married to a science teacher... so I guess his alien ways have finally rubbed off on me.

Food note to anyone who likes to eat at Macaroni Grill. I went to lunch with my mom there on Monday, and while most of their stuff is insanly fattening (as in some entrees have more than 1000 calories and 100 fat grams. seriously. the nutritional info is on their web site), they have a few healthy and yummy items. I had the mediterranian grilled shrimp (only 4 points, for you ww-ers out there) and a side of grilled asparagus (0 points). YUM! Oh, and the bread is just 10 points for the whole loaf... you do the math to figure out how much you want.
