I'm HSing my DD who is in 4th grade. It's not going well, and I don't think I'll be doing this next year. I don't have the patience for it. I've found a better charter school for her for 5th grade, but I don't want her to be behind next year... so what should DD be learning to be prepared for 5th grade?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I would suggest getting your hands on the learning goals for grade levels in your state. Most charters will loosely follow those guidelines. Check your state's education website, or give them a call. Another thing you could do is speak to the teachers at the charter you're thinking about and ask them for their 4th grade curriculum learning goals. At the same time, you could talk to the fifth grade teacher and ask what his/her expectations are. You could also contact a tutoring center like Sylvan and have your daughter tested to see what her grade level is for reading and math.
Good luck!!
Good luck!!
