YASMEEN IS HERE!!!! She was born on February 3 at 3:41 a.m.
Here's what happened:
At 2:40 a.m. I woke up with a ton of pressure in my bottom...I woke up DH and told him to start getting ready to go in...I knew the contractions were next. At 2:50 a.m. I had one three-minute contraction, then the next contraction was only one minute after that one, and so on. I called L&D as we were getting into the car, and the nurse was telling ne they were sending an ambulance to find us if we weren't at the hospital in 10 minutes; I couldn't talk, and the pressure was unbearable!!
DH was speeding, and we made it to the hospital in about 5-6 minutes. L&D had the wheechair waiting right inside the door. When we got in the room, I was 7 cm with a bulging bag; the nurses were hollering for the doctor because 30 seconds later the amniotic sac/head was crowning!! The doctor managed to get one glove on, and she broke my bag as Yasmeen's forehead was coming out. I did tear, but just a bit. Total labor time: about 50 minutes!! Scary actually!!!
Yasmeen Emaan Hussain (DH wanted to change the middle name) was born at 3:41 a.m. at Central DuPage Hospital; she weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. I will post pics in a few...she needs to eat now; we came home on Sunday; so far so good!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so relieved to have her here; thank all you ladies for your wonderful support...I never would have gotten through this without you!!
It seems like it was not long ago
I was complaining I had so long to go.
Now look how quickly time has passed
I've added a fifth daughter to my mass!
I couldn't be more lucky or happy,
Oh look at me...I've gotten sappy!!

50 minutes! Wow, that must have been some ride to the hospital! Congrats on your fifth girl, how very exciting.
