Bumps on her face...help!

Hello,

My daughter has little bumps on her face that seemed to start as a heat rash, but they aren't going away. What should I do?

are you sure they're not just a sudden burst of baby acne? ava's arrived all at once. overnight. just suddenly she had a million little zits...they went away as suddenly as they arrived.

Baby zits! My baby has them. They're common and normal and to be honest, I have no idea how to make them go away. I put breastmilk on them -- I put breastmilk on everything though

Namaste, Tara (yeah, I know, I"m a Jan mom but I loved your DDC so much I felt like posting *grin*)

Samara has this too.

It doesn't bother her. Dr said it's normal and if it really bothers *me* then I could try cutting dairy and or wheat from my diet and that should clear it up. Well, honestly the bumps don't bother me all that much...not enough to alter my diet. It should go away on its own soon.

Drew had prickly heat on this cheeks for a few days, then all of a sudden it was gone. I don't know if it helped, but I used burts bees apricot baby oil on him. I think stuff like this just shows up on babes one day, then disappears the next.

Samara's had it since birth. I've tried the Burts Bees apricot oil (love the smell ), olive oil, vaseline, breastmilk...nothing really helps her.

Baby acne usually lasts from birth to about 3 months. It's caused by the mother's hormones still lingering in the baby from pregnancy. I wouldn't worry about it. Adam had it too, I really had to restrain myself from picking at it.

m has them too, all over his face, the back of his head, his neck, shoulders and top of his chest. i asked my midwife about them and she thought they were prickly heat combined with acne (exabberated by spit-up, etc.). nothing to worry about. his have actually been slowly fading recently, too.
