sensitivities-no symptoms?

My dd is now almost 7 mos old and very tiny. It is a confusing situation to me because on one hand, she could just be a tiny girl, like her dad, but on the other hand, she (and ds who's 3) could have sensitivies. She has no real symptoms besides a slow weight gain. Good skin, happy baby, lots of wet and poopy dipes, not much spit up.... She is not into solids at all. She doesn'tsleep very well and neither did her brother-could be personality, or not... Her poop is sometimes frothy.
Ds had more GI issues. He went a long time between poops-I beleived this to be normal for bf babes. When he started solids, he loved them and started to be regular again. Then he went through a loose stool phase, which was cleared up by a homeopathic parasite cleanse. I did take him off goat dairy for a month, but nothing changed. Now and then he has loose stool still and sometimes complains of a bellyache.
We don't eat soy, cow dairy (we eat goat dairy), and have been sort of wheat/GF for a while now (but not trying too hard, just our noodles, and baked goods are GF and I eat rye bread-ds doesn't). I do eat some cow butter. DD got a little rash after she had some goat milk-Iwas supplamenting her as I thought I had low supply. It went away.
We all eat acidophilous.
My supply (breastmilk) is low and the thought of eliminating foods makes me hungry....
Babe wakes...more later....

OK sounds like it "could" be EE symptoms include:

Quote:
Common symptoms include:
• Reflux that does not respond to usual therapy
(which includes proton pump inhibitors, a med-
icine which stops acid production in the stomach)
• Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)
• Food impactions (food gets stuck in the throat)
• Nausea and Vomiting
• Failure to thrive (poor growth or weight loss)
• Abdominal or chest pain
• Poor appetite
• Malnutrition
• Difficulty sleeping
You only need one, we went through the same thing with Z and found he has it.

Sorry Natalie is fussing, but here is a link to more info

You describe several symptoms of food allergies in your post. I would definitely look into it.

We went to our kinesiologist and tested for several foods. Eggs, corn, goat diary (although I only brought our raw cheese and not the pasturized milk-next time), almonds, tomatoes, oatmeal-all okay. YAY! We had a slight sensitivity to cow milk butter (the only cow dairy we eat), more of one to cashews (and I'll take that to mean other tree nuts too) and even more of one to wheat. I forgot to bring other grains like spelt or rye (next time). She said it wasn't a full blown allergy, but that wheat and cashews 'shut down' several body systems, like liver. So I guess we will avoid wheat type glutens for now.
Let me get this straight. Oats have glutens but they slightly different? And corn too?
It won't be too much of a change, as I just had a feeling and have been avoiding wheat somewhat for over a year and all glutens (not oats) for several months. Just need to find a good bread I can have toasted with a little butter-I love that!
Any ideas or links to other discussions? Thanks!

Corn and oats both have gluten...but not gliadin which is the type of gluten you are worried about. Corn should be fine (if you don't have a corn allergy!) and oats are sketchy. They don't have gliadin in and of themselves, but are frequently cross-contaminated. Most celiacs avoid them completely. I would say avoid oats for awhile and then introduce them after a month or so and watch closely.
