To Whom it May Concern,

I just need to let you know how disgusted I am that you are not pressing charges against Britney Spears. She was driving in traffic with her infant in her lap. At the very least she should have been charged with reckless endangerment. Had she gotten in even a small fender bender and the airbag had deployed her son would have most likely been killed.

The message you are sending is that is is OK to put your child in grave danger. Time and time again celebrities get a free pass when it come to the law. Oops!...You did it again.

The argument I heard them give was that "a deputy didn't see her" breaking the law. Now THAT is a bunch of horse-doodey! An officer wrote tickets on the basis of my word ALONE when I followed behind two speeding cars who happened to stop at a convenience store where a cop was inside getting his coffee. *I* signed their tickets!

I can't think of much better "proof" than witnesses and pictures.

Well, on the news this morning it sounded like CPS is involved or is going to get involved.

I think she should get a ticket and have to take parenting classes. Maybe even revoke her license for a while.

I emailed the LASD... we'll see what they say, if they respond.

I'm just checking... when did California revoke the law requiring infants to be secured in a carseat? Last time I'd heard it was still law. Given the fact that the LAW requires it I'm appalled that Britney Spears was not AT LEAST ticketed when she endangered her child's life by driving down a freeway while HOLDING her baby in the driver's seat! There is ample photographic evidence of the incident, so there is NO excuse for allowing her to get away with such a horrific act. How many non-famous people do you let get away with that? None, right? So WHY should Britney be treated any differently? Oh yeah, she's famous... but would her fame have saved her baby's life if there had been an accident???

I hope somehow the LASD finds a way to redeem themselves in this situation.
