Rise Help

I would love it if anyone who has patterns like VB and the time (time ya right ) could tell me what pattern they have and the rise for the different sizes....

I have been making my own patterns, but I am unsure about the rise. I have never bought any diapers already made, nor any patterns, so I have just been trying to best fit my dd.

Oh and one more thing....the measurement of the length of leg part between the back wing and the front wing. I think my in my pattern the back wing presses on the top of her thigh too much and maybe I dont have enough space there.... THanks

Thanks for those Rachel!

But I was also kinda hoping for the VB measurements in particular because so many people seem to like the fit....

VB anybody?

I want to know too. That site is great, but we need to add the measurements for some of the more popular diapers we like to make. If I can ever get my hands on a used VB diaper, I'll be happy to measure it and post it. I'm just having a hard time finding one.

I just can't buy a pattern when I KNOW I'm going to change it all anyway. I actually bought the VB AIO pattern last year, but after getting the basic size, I didn't use it at all. I just needed things like wingspan, rise, and crotch width--but even those things I adjusted to meet my needs, especially the crotch width. But it's nice to know how many inches a particular diaper is, even if you know you want it longer/wider/shorter/skinner than it is.

ooh, great! I actually need the newborn fitted. I may have found one to buy, which would be great too. and I could just stretch it out and measure it. But if you feel like measuring yours for me, I'm especially interested in the rise and wing span. Thanks!

I might have some newborn VB fitteds laying around that I made. Are you just looking for one to measure or do you want some to have?

I would to have one. Email or pm me!

The rises are posted in the sizing section of most of our licensee websites. Why don't you just look there rather than having someone measure for you?

Alot of the time they don't have the measurements and will just have poundage, as in large will fit 25-35 pounds, and that's not right for all babies, if it were true, all one size diaps could actually fit my dd!

Here are the pictures of the newborn diapers:

This one is the VB fitted newborn pattern. It is flannel with a cotton print outside. These are a variety, the bug one is the same one from the other pic, the purple one is the Darling Diaper newborn pattern and the 2 on the bottom are the VB fitted pattern made from recycled t-shirts.

I was responding to the original question for the rise measurements on VB diapers. I have them on my grandma's website in the sizing section: www.tallulahbaby.com

Babies are all different sizes, so sizing on diaper patterns & clothing patterns can only be approximate. No size table is going to be right for all babies.

Hey Jessica!

The newborn and small rises aren't listed.
