My dd (born Dec 5th 2005) has a stinky cradle cap.
I used almond oil and washed her hair with mild baby soap, but that smelly stink stays..yuck

What can I do?

thanks

Not to freak you but my guess would be Candida or something fungus based. It is often what causes dandruff in adults thus what the ingredients in adult dandruff shampoos target.

Oil is an important component of keeping the area moist but you probably also need to adds something if her scalp is smelling.

Maybe mix some tea tree oil in with olive oil and let it set on everyday.

A really diluted vinegar rinse may help too.

If it is yeasty...your best bet is to take acidophilus and to maybe give your baby acidophilus (although many people don't like giving it to babies) and look at making changes in your diet that would inhibit yeast growth.
