trying to decide on which knit pouch sling to buy...

I am a plus sized mama but I really like my slings snug. I used to try on all the slings for my friend who made ring slings (madebyjenn.com she isnt making them anymore but I think you can still see her pics.) and could fit in any of her sizes because I liked my babies cinched up tight.

SOoo, knit stretch pouch slings? Recommendations? I see a lot of recommendations on hotslings but that there is a big margin for size error. With me being a smaller up top plus sized mama, I am worried that I will get a sling that is too big.

I have been looking at goo-ga and hotslings and harmonywear.

I am 5'8" , wear about a 40D bra (or a L jane's bra from blue canoe) and about 250 right now (sigh... 3rd baby and mom had a heart attack last month...gotta love comfort eating... I gained back the 15 pounds I lost after baby was born, lol) but carry most of my weight on my bottom half and when thin, have narrow shoulders. So I was thinking of buying one size smaller than recommended for height/weight.

Any similar sized moms out there who could give me a recommendation?

I have helped many plus sized mamas try on pouches and I think one size smaller than the largest is the best. The measurement that really matters is from your shoulder to your hip, so if you get that right you won't go wrong. I see more problems when a woman's breasts are too large rather than the opposite, as they can get in the way and make it uncomfortable. Good luck!

I'm a little confused--Hotslings doesn't make knit slings. Very few people do (I'm not familiar with Harmony slings). How old and heavy is your baby? The heavier the baby, the more snug the pouch will need to be to keep from stretching way out from the weight.
