Favorite Mei Tai?

Hello There,

I'm having a new little one in the next couple weeks and haven't used a Mei Tai carrier before. They look like they'd be good for carrying around a newborn. My 1 1/2 year old is slight and loves to be carried too!

What is your favorite Mei Tai carrier?

Here is what I have in my "stash" from my 3 1/2 year old ds and 1 1/2 year ds, just so you get an idea what I already have:

-Ergo Carrier
-KKAFP
-Hotsling - Stretch Cotton (Which I bought 2 years ago, and it looks like they may have changed designs. Mine doesn't have any padding.) I think I might be another one, because everyone seems to pleased with theirs on this board.
-Moby Wrap

I think the ones here are good. There are so many brands though, and they are all great. You don't want to get something with too short of a body as you want to be able to carry your toddler too. Have you thought about a non-stretchy wrap? Ooh, and congratulations on your coming baby!

babyhawk's are great! very comfy, great variety of fabrics, and you get the option of making the body extra tall to use with a toddler (i used my babyhawk XT with my super-tall toddler, and with a newborn, and it worked just fine for both )

Kozy - absolutely no question in my mind, it's the gold standard imo I just got a Maya Tie and I'm loving that one, too.

We love our Kozy, it's our everyday workhorse carrier and the one that DS can most easily fall asleep in.

I have a Freehand and a Baby Hawk, but the Baby Hawk is my favorite. I think Baby Hawks are great b/c there are so many cool fabrics to choose from.

Ok, I've never actually seen one of these IRL, but if I have another baby I 'm gonna try it. I like my Kozy, but not the straps, and I like my Sutemi, but not the look.

It's called Miguel Ispired Originals. They are made by a WAH mom in Mexico. They have a Kozylike body with adujtable straps. I want to try one!

Kozy! Kozy! Not only are they wonderfully comfortable, but they wear eternally.

That said, BabyHawks are also very comfy and it is impossible to beat their fabric selection.

I have a Happy Cruiser that I LOVE. Wide straps, durable and beautiful body fabrics, and big enough that my babe was comfortable in it at about 5 wks, when I first got it.

Another Kozy fan here! Dd takes most of her naps in the Kozy and I love that she can rest her head back in it.
