2-Month Appointments?

I realize that not everyone does well-baby checks, but for those who do, how did your 2-month appointments go? We just went Friday - Luke weighs 14 lbs mommy milk sure is going down well!

We go on Tuesday. I'll let ya know! Glad Luke is doing so well!!

we've had to reschedule twice (once bc we were sick, and once bc my mom - who would watch rowan - was sick). so we finally go this wednesday.

DS's first well baby visit was at 4 weeks and the doctor said that since we're not vaxing, there's no point in bringing him in for another visit until he's 3 months old.

I just had him weighed recently and at 8 weeks he has doubled his birth weight - 15lbs!!

We're not vaxing either, but our doc still wants to see us for well-baby checks. She's 10lbs 14oz now! In the 75th percentile for everything! But, she doesn't weigh enough to up her dose of Zantac (which needs to be done). So she still screams from 6-8 at night. Sucks BIG time.

We went last Monday for Ben's 2mo appt and he was a whopping 11lbs, 11oz...seeing as he started at 6lbs, 10oz that is pretty righteous. Bethany was born at 7lbs, 10oz and at her 2mo appt she was only 9lbs, 11oz!

I keep calling Ben a milk pig!

We didn't do any vaxes and will go back for a 4mo check.

we're not doing well-baby visits, so we won't have a 2 month appointment. we had our 6 week with our midwife and m was 11lb 14oz! what a little chubbah!

Jonas had his 2 month a week ago. He was 12 lbs 12 oz (birth weight 8 lbs 2 oz). He is my very small baby! He is only in the 75th percentile (his brothers were off the chart for height and weight at 2 months). He is the sweetest little thing! We just love him .

We haven't been to the dr.'s at all yet - and I forgot to get her weighed at our 6 week midwife appt. So I'm dying to know how much she weighs! Not that it matters you know, but...

So, I'm kinda jealous of all of you who are going and knowing.

We havent gone to the dr either but I would like to know a "real" weight. At home on our scale it says about 14 pounds but who knows. LOL I'm betting at least that, she is a HUGE chunk!

My baby is only 6 weeks now and still pretty small. I'd guess he's about 9 pounds? We won't know until March, if the doctor will stop taking vacations and rescheduling us.
Would I be mean to say my baby is also kind of funny looking? In a cute, alien, patchy haired, acne, stuck out ears, kind of elf-like way...
But his personality is incredible. That boy is so aware and smart. And nice and mellow and Mr. Cool. I'd say out of the 4 babies, he's the smartest and coolest to hang with. He's awesome.

What was this thread about anyway? Oops. I should put my pill happy self to bed. LOL

we haven't gone to the doctor's yet either, but at the 6 week midwife appt. he weighe 10lbs.6 oz, which was 1lb. 2oz. more than at birth.

we had our 2 month check up today - 12 lbs 1 oz (he was 6 lbs 15 oz at birth). we chose to wait to vax... not sure how long... doc was generally supportive but did try to throw in some more encouragement to get it done... we'll see!

i know it sounds crazy, but we go to the monthly doc appts. just for the accurate weight measurements!!! so, b/c HP is sucky insurance w/ a high co-pay, i pay $20 once a month to have the doc check E's weight!!! seriously i like to talk to the doc (she's actually a nurse practitioner).
the office has a delayed vax schedule, but its not delayed enough for me right now...don't think i will be doing any for at least 2 years, but not sure which ones i will be doing at all in the end..
i have a postage scale that i put Ethan on once a week. basically, i have a bed tray (its rounded, with sides) and i put a thick blanket in it...i weight that each time and then put E in it and subject the weight of the tray and blanket to get his weight. i think its pretty accurate, but at least it gives me an idea, even if its a few ounces off. last weight was 11 lbs. 6 oz (5 weeks), up from 8.4 at birth.

We had Tharen's 2 month appt last night (2 weeks late). He weighs in at 13lbs 2ozs. We go because I like to CMA with a paper trail. Plus Tharen has had some troubles. We wanted to get his umbilical hernia checked out, plus he is suffering with GERD just like Kearnan did. Dr H said we would continue to keep an eye on the hernia and hope that it will heal on its own. Tharen has tortocollis (tightening of the neck muscles) and can't turn his head to the right, which is apparently only seen in infants with reflux. So even though he doesn't have the high volume reflux that Kearnan did we are putting him on zantac. Hopefully it will help with the gassies and colic too. We did have a bit of a strain when I said no to vaxes, but Dr H never actually argued with me (good man). So we are covered until 4 months.

Just goyt back from our appt today and was relived about my ped's reaction not to vax. I confess I didn't tell him we don't want to at all, I just told him we won't do anything the first year for sure. He seemed to be open-minded in our interview, so I am glad he stayed that way.

She's long and thin, 23 inches (up from 21) and 10.8oz (lowest weight after birth was 7.11oz)

ds was 13 pounds 10 ounces and 24 inches long at 2 months, up from 7 pounds 11 ounces and 21 inches long at birth. No vaxing here. Dr didn't fight me on it, but keeps bringing up the delaying option. I wish we were closer. We are an hour away, and the care ride, especially on the way back SUCKS! I don't have anyone to go with me, so ds has to be in the back seat alone

sorry to bring up such an old post, but I wanted to add Sam's 2 month stats. We finally went on the 24th. He was 2 months on the 20th, but it worked out to 9 weeks when we went in. Sam is 12 lb 13 oz (80th) and 25 in (>95th). Staying right on growth curves. His head is 41cm (75th). We are also not vaxing and my dr is just fine with this. have I said I really like my dr, the same one who saw us through the pregnancy Her kids went to a waldorf school which didn't do vaccinations. Sam has quite a cold now though and not happy about it.
